Chess Computer Online Game [chess.watype.net]

This is a very simple free chess computer online game made with Adobe® Flash®. Please enjoy playing non-serious chess match versus a little computer opponent on web-browser window.

Instructions [How to Play Game]

Choose your side (White/Black change over by clicking on "VS" sign) and select computer's thought-depth level on start-up window. And click on "Start" button to start a game. There are four levels. The deeper, it gets tougher. But, at the same time, the deeper, it takes much more time for computer player to think a move. So, please select a level within the extent that your computer (or otherwise you) can accept.

During game, move pieces by mouse dragging-and-dropping in your turn. As you start dragging a piece, red guide frames appear on every square on which you can put the piece. X marks indicate illegal moves. On special moves such as castling or en passant, a balloon pops up and notify you of the move.

Record of Moves and its Replay

The record of moves in algebraic notation is automatically recorded and displayed on right-hand-side of the chess table while game is going on. After game ends, by clicking on record items (or by mouse-wheeling on chess-table), you can replay moves and look back the match. If you want to obtain a copy of the record as text, you can send it to clipboard by clicking on "Copy" button.

Results of Games and Statistics

Your match results on each level are saved to Flash Player's persistent local storage, and displayed on right pane of the start-up window. You can reset these at anytime by clicking on "Clear" button.

*The result of game, you played, is automatically sent to server as anonymous data, when the game ends. The collected results are used only for all-time-all-users match-results statistics that is to be displayed on start-up window. Chess.watype.net do not collect any personally-identifying information about you through this service.
